We had a wonderful time New Years Day. We had some friends over to enjoy good ole Southern food. In case you don't know the tradition in the South is to start the New Year with Collard Greens, Black-Eyed Peas, Cornbread and Rice. They each mean something. The greens mean the more you eat the more paper money you will have, the peas mean the more coins you will have and rice is for happiness. The rest is just cause we like it. Mom cooked everything this year and is was so good. We all enjoyed our friends coming over and just relaxing for the day (except Mom, since she had kitchen duty - her choice). I thought you might enjoy seeing some pictures.
Have a wonderful 2008!!!!!
